I can't remember what version of Dirac the project was created on, but I'm sure it was 3.x and it was around April 2020. I have had a couple of error messages across the various attempts which have said words to the effect of 'file may be corrupt' or 'this project was created for a different hardware configuration'.
I had it on a USB memory stick and tried loading it directly from there as well as copy it to the 'projects' directory that was created during the software install. This is where I ran in to trouble - it won't load.
I realised that I didn't still have Dirac on my MacBook Pro (not sure why, I'm sure this is what I used last time) so I downloaded the latest version from the Dirac website (v3.1.2) and then attempted to load my saved project. I wanted to apply a new target curve and upload to my 390 in order to pump up the bass a bit. Hi all, it's been a while since I checked in here as the 390 has been more or less behaving itself on fw4.41 (the odd instance of not switching between different soundtracks aside.), but I've run into an issue with Dirac and I'm hoping someone can help. Supported Platforms: Windows 10, MacOS Catalina, Android, iOS. Dirac Live LE for Emotiva.exe is the programss main file and it takes about 48.79 MB (51164672 bytes) on disk.
Maybe it works well with many AVRs but not so well with Arcam's with certain speakers, who knows?! C:Program FilesEmotivaDirac Liveuninstall.exe is the full command line if you want to uninstall Dirac Live LE for Emotiva. As such I think the Arcam AVRs generally prefer speakers to be set to small for AV, not sure if that came into play or not. Also Arcam AVR550 and 390/850s (but not the AV860 processor) have weird watts / volts results I think because Dirac can sometimes overstretching the AVRs limited internal amps when speakers are set to large and so they can often have worse results (SINAD and THD etc) and odd limitations. I think both methods have their merits, also software versions change often (especially Dirac) and may introduce bugs or change the way things work or get measured / calibrated. I got odd results after calibration, hence my advice is try both ways with the Arcam. Not sure why, maybe I just messed something up although I'm pretty seasoned and happy to spend hours playing around just to work out the technicalities. On an Apple computer: - Operating system: from Mavericks (10.9) thru El Capitan (10.11) Yosemite (10. ID3 tags, APEv2, Vorbis comment.Yes get what you're saying the theory and know what REL say, just saying what I had from my experience with the Arcam AVR550, for me the results were worse even after playing around for ages, so re-ran the calibration for AV in the configuration I would have it set when running AV (speakers small, high level connected but not being used for AV), then put the high level back after calibration was done which is how I may have used it for music. Both Dirac Live LE and Dirac Live Full for Emotiva have the same system requirements. Supports many audio and video compression methods and file formats, including DVD-Video, -video CD, and streaming protocols. DVD movies play automatically as soon as you insert the DVD into your computer’s drive.
Among its main advantages is that of not needing a separate codec, as it happens for other software like WinDVD or PowerDVD. Coolle VLLC(VideoLife Live Client) Media Player is modified from VLC which can easily play many types of common audio files, such as OGG, MP3, WAV and WMA, most video files like AVI, MPEG and WMV, but it goes even further.
